Data Management Test and Assignment

I'm postponing the Data management test to Friday. We are going to do the review on Tuesday at which time I will post what expectations would be on the test.

The students have been participating on independent data management projects where they are to imagine at marketing firm has asked them to design a product, ( for example a snack) and they need to survey their classmates to narrow down what this product will look like. They need to graph their results and explain the meaning of their results. Afterwards they need to draw an advertisement of their results.

Recipes

Here are the recipes the Grade two students

Bridges

Their bridges were so strong they could sit on them without breaking them.
It started out, could they create a bridge strong enough to hold a load of blocks and then it became could they make a bridge strong enough to hold themselves. Once that challenge was complete they wondered if they could created a bridge strong enough to hold Mr Pritcherd. Some were more successful than others!

Grade 3 Bridges

The Grade 3 students were asked to build bridges out of paper that would stand up alone and that hold a heavy weight. Here are a couple of their structures!

Thanksgiving

Part of the Grade Two curriculum is learning about celebrations. The Grade Two students were split into 4 groups and were each given a task; decorations, food, drink and games. They research their topic, organized what they would need and ran their activities themselves. Here are some pictures
