Measurement Review

Measurement Review

Both

The Grade 2 Test will have some multi step problems and some multiple choice problems

Time
-recognize and represent time from half hour and quarter hour
-is able to understand the relationship between days, weeks and years

Temperature
-understands how weather affects everyday choices

Linear Measurement
-       able to estimate and measure distance, height and length using standard units like ( cm, m,) and non standard such as blocks
-Is able to measure and record Perimeter
-Is able to measure and record Area

Capacity/ Mass
Is able to estimate, measure and record capacity and mass with non standard units


Grade 3

The Grade 3 Test will have many multi step problems and some multiple choice problems.

Time
-problem solving the duration between two set times
-recognize and represent time to the closest 5 minute

Temperature
-       estimates and identifies benchmarks for cold, warm, hot weather
-       recognize degrees on a thermometer

Linear Measurement
-       estimates and measures km


Capacity / Mass
-Is able to estimate, measure and record capacity and mass with standard units such as mg, g, kg and ml, l and kl.
