Multiplication, Division and Fractions Test Review
Grade 2
-
Fractions are connected to various aspects of
our lives such as time, music, measuring for cooking etc.
Fractions with Manipulatives
-Comparing fractions ( ½ is bigger than ¼)
-Regrouping fractions into whole fractions (9/4 makes 2 and
1/4)
-Problem Solving with Fractions ( If Austin has ¾ and Haru
has 2/4 than Austin has ¼ more than Haru)
Multiplication
-represents and explains basic multiplication through arrays,
groups, skip counting, repeated addition and number lines
Division
-represents and explains basic division (equal grouping)
through arrays, grouping, skip counting, repeated subtraction and number lines
Understand the relationship between multiplication and
division
Grade 3 Students are expected to know the same information
as Grade 2 students with a higher expectation of problem solving. They are also
expected to know:

Fractions, using terms such as halves, quarters,
eighths etc.

Mental multiplication up to 7 times 7 and
division up to 49 divided by 7

Today we are doing structures with simple machines❗️The grade 3's are doing structures and picking a country to make the structure. The grade 2's are doing structures Ms. Jaynes said to the grade 2's are supposed to be with a grade 3 to work with because need to find a country to work on.
