Air and Water in the Environment

Air and water are a major part of the environment.
- name characteristics of air and water
-we find water in streams, ponds, lakes, oceans. Sewers, reservoirs


Living things need air and water to survive.
-living things breathe air, wind generates energy, supports transportation
-living things drink water, water generates energy, supports transportation

Changes to air and water affect living things and the environment.
- water cycle including evaporation, condensation, precipitation, vapour
-three states of water, and how temperature affects water
-how the water cycle and water in different states affects humans, plants and landforms
-air is a gas and when in movement is called wind

Our actions affect the quality of air and water, and its ability to sustain life.
What are some of the ways that we affect quality of air and water  in a positive and negative way?
How do you personally use water responsibly? Can you think of some suggestions to help others conserve water?
Why is clean water less common in our world?
